José Antonio Velasco Ruiz, known artistically as Maki, was born on April 19, 1979 in Huelva, Andalusia. From a young age, he showed interest in both music and sports, eventually playing in the lower categories of Recreativo de Huelva. At the same time, he began his career in local radio before devoting himself completely to music. In 2005 he released his first album, “Di xq te vas”, which was a national success and marked the beginning of a consolidated career. Since then, Maki has released numerous albums, including “A Million Thanks”, “Hopefully” and “Humility”, and has toured all over Spain. Recognized for his ability to compose and perform, he has won awards such as the Digital Gold Record and has collaborated with leading artists on the national scene.
