Biographical Summary
Los Cabales emerged in the early 80s in Talarrubias (Badajoz), when a group of young fans of flamenco and Spanish song decided to form a musical group after their first experiences in the local flamenco club. Initially composed of Emilio Pérez, Manuel Light, Manuel Aguilar and Manuel Ledesma, the group soon consolidated itself on the regional and national scene, performing both at popular festivals and on large stages and maritime cruises.
Over more than four decades of experience, Los Cabales have recorded 29 albums and performed hundreds of concerts, bearing the name of Extremadura all over Spain. They have been pioneers in including in each album songs dedicated to their land, to emigrants, to Extremadura's women and rural life, becoming cultural ambassadors of the region. In 1989, they reached a milestone in cassette sales, surpassing renowned artists such as Manolo Escobar and Los Chichos5. His career has been recognized with tributes and the love of several generations of followers.
