Artistic Style

Gato Ventura is characterized by a style that merges urban rock with Andalusian rock, incorporating influences from flamenco, hard rock, metal and even pop. His music is a “salmorejo” of styles, where the base is always rock, but he allows him to jump between genres within the same song, achieving a fresh and personal proposal. His main references are bands such as Marea, Sínkope, Extremoduro, Estopa and Medina Azahara, but there are also nods to Andalusian sounds and musical miscegenation.

Biographical Summary

Gato Ventura, originally from Córdoba and son of guitarist Paco Ventura (Medina Azahara), began his musical career in 2003 with the formation of the band Descaro, with which he recorded two albums: “Qué Será” and “Vidas Furivas”. After a period of composition and acoustic performances, in 2017 he formed Gato Ventura and Los Errantes together with Anto Duque (drums), Víctor Zurita (guitar) and Julián Blake (bass). With this band, Ventura consolidates a powerful and energetic live performance and launches the “Delirios” trilogy, recorded under the production of Íker Piedrafita and with collaborations with leading figures of state rock such as Kutxi Romero (Marea), Paco Ventura, Manolillo Chinato and Vito Íñiguez (Sínkope), among others.
